Dogs are the best creature in the world!

Here's Tinker, a Boston Terrier, and Coda a... well we don't exactly know what breed she is.  Like it matters...

The story goes, we played tug of war and fetch for an hour straight.  They got tired, I didn't. So when both of them slumped on the couch for a snooze I took my sketchbook out and started to draw them in this very rare immobile state they were in.

Tinker was just resting his head on the edge of the couch and staring at me.  When I turned to her she started to sleepy close her eyes and I had to keep on tapping on her nose to make her open her eyes again.  I know not very nice, but I had already started drawing her.  I don't think she was too happy.

This is what came out of that...

Art Tip: If you forget your glasses/contacts?

Just draw from imagination. Real life is merely reference anyway, if as an artist you're going for  hyper-reality, then you're doing a pointless job, that's what photography machines are for.

Art tip of the day: Never forget your glasses/contacts...

... you kinda need them to actually see the thing you're drawing.

Here are some observational drawings.

"How you doin'?"

For Traditional Animation, we picked animals from a hat. Our assignment was to design an animal character.  I got a rooster...

Ladies, say hello to Richard, billionaire, philanthropist, playboy.  He loves to chase around the ladies and lives in a giant big mansion.  His adventures will be up soon.

Drawing 2

I hate buildings, edges and basically architecture.  I think that I am more appealed to organic shapes.

Medium: Pencil and Photoshop(coloring only)

These are all marker experiments, a medium, which I am quite unfamiliar with.

Sculpting is awesome!

This semester we have a class called 3D - basically sculpting class. I love it!

This last one is a process work on our inventive character assignment.
